Gritty or dry feeling eyesDiscomfortConstant tearingDecreased visionInfections of the eyeTo resolve this, Dr. McInnes can loosen the muscle that retracts the eyelid, allowing it to return to its normal position. This is done through an incision in the crease of the eyelid or on the undersurface of the eye to reduce the risk of visible scarring. This may be done in the office or operating room with IV sedation and local anesthetic. Normal activities, including wearing makeup and contacts can be resumed about a week following surgery. Dr. McInnes will meet with you for an exam and address your individual situation and discuss the risks and benefits of having surgery to help make the right decision for you. Aesthetic Eye will also pre-authorize any procedures with your insurance company for you if surgery is the right choice for you.
