facial nerve palsy treatment

Palsy is a condition in which there is nerve damage causing nerves to not work properly. The facial nerve controls the closing of the eye and the lifting of the eyebrows, so if the facial nerve is damaged these functions do not execute properly. Certain procedures performed by Dr. McInnes to help restore these types of functions. These procedures will likely be done in the operating room under IV sedation. Many patients may resume normal activities, such as wearing makeup or contacts about one week after surgery. Dr. McInnes will meet with you for an exam and address your individual situation and discuss the risks and benefits of having surgery to help make the right decision for you. Aesthetic Eye will also pre-authorize any procedures with your insurance company for you if surgery is the right choice for you. Not all patients are candidates for treatment. Risks benefits and alternatives will be available to you after treament is decided.

Request an appointment or call Aesthetic Eye, P.C. today to set up an appointment for a consultation with Dr. McInnes.
